Beaches

Hilton Head Island is known for its 12-miles of pristine beaches.

The main event for many visitors, public beaches are easy to find and access throughout the island. Certain beaches may offer more amenities than others, such as grills, picnic pavilions, or seasonal lifeguards and beach rentals. If you’re interested in reserving a free beach wheelchair at either Islanders Beach Park or Coligny Beach Park, visit the town’s website here

Preserving our beaches and protecting wildlife is a top priority on Hilton Head, so please do your part. That means taking everything you’ve brought to your beach day—trash included—with you when you leave, filling up any holes that you’ve dug, and staying off of all dunes at all times.
