Island House was founded by Zach, whose longtime vision was to create a place where people could gather over great food, feel genuinely welcome, and make lasting memories. Raised in New York with strong roots in family, faith, and hard work, Zach found his way to Hilton Head Island while playing baseball at USCB—where the island quickly became home and where he met his wife, Kenzie. Together, they’ve built Island House as a true family endeavor, with Kenzie playing an active role in welcoming guests, sharing the restaurant’s story through photography and social media, and helping create its warm, inviting atmosphere. Supported by Zach’s parents, David and Sharon, and other family members who contributed in the early days, Island House has grown into more than just a restaurant—it’s a community gathering place shaped by heart, intention, and a deep love for bringing people together.
